Nimbin runs on the quiet dedication of volunteers — the people who show up, lend a hand, cook the meals, fix the tech, sweep the floors and keep our beautiful village thriving.
This March, our community has the chance to celebrate them properly at the Legends of Nimbin – Volunteer Awards Night, hosted by the Nimbin Community Organisations Interagency (NCOI).
Nominate a Volunteer (Deadline 17 March)
Nominations are now open, and every Nimbin organisation is encouraged to take part.
If your organisation has someone special — or you know a volunteer from another local group who deserves recognition — now is the time to shine a light on their contribution.
Importantly, this is not a competition, but a celebration of the many people who give their time and care to our community.

Date: Tuesday 31 March 2026
Venue: Nimbin Bowlo
Doors open: 5:30pm
Awards ceremony: 6:00pm
The evening is open to everyone — volunteers, organisations, families and community members. Tickets are free, but must be booked online to reserve your seat.
A vegetarian buffet meal is available to pre-purchase online. The bar will also be open for drink purchases.
