Rock n Roll Photo Art is the archive of Nimbin photographer Linda Bell: original black-and-white photographs of music legends, taken on stage, backstage and behind the scenes across Europe in the early 1980s.
Linda was born on a New Zealand sheep station called Erehwon (“nowhere” spelled backwards) and went on to live in France for 30 years. Working for the record companies and the artists themselves, she photographed musicians in their prime, and kept the negatives and the stories. Forty-odd years later, she’s bringing them back out for music fans.
The collection includes Rose Tattoo, The Angels, The Clash, KISS, Jaco Pastorius and Ted Nugent, with a new lineup of rock icons released every 60 days. Browse the artists and subscribe for new releases at rocknrollphoto.art.
Until 5pm Sunday 29 November 2026, Linda’s photos are hanging in 29 Nimbin shops on the Rock’n’Roll Photo Art Trail, a free photo hunt with a Trail Award draw.
