Aquarius Talks 2026: Our Forests and People

Nimbin Aquarius Talks

A community gathering exploring the future of forests, climate, and the people who care for them, inspired by the spirit of the 1973 Aquarius Festival.

Aquarius Talks returns to Nimbin Town Hall for its second year, bringing the community together to reflect on one of the most important issues of our time — the protection of forests and the people connected to them.

With the theme “Our Forests and People,” this year’s event honours decades of environmental activism while opening space for conversation, shared knowledge, and practical ideas for the future. From local stories of forest defence to global perspectives on deforestation and climate impact, the day invites participants to listen, learn, and consider what meaningful action could look like from here.

Grounded in the spirit of connection, resilience, and community, Aquarius Talks offers a space to come together in a time when both ecosystems and communities are under increasing pressure — and where collective action matters more than ever.
