What is the Nimbin Rainbow Walk?
The Nimbin Rainbow Walk is a constructed track that provides the community of Nimbin and its visitors with a safe, fun and active way to enjoy the beauty of the natural environment, as well as connect with cultural and artistic expressions.
With formed pathways, boardwalks and bridges, providing access to natural areas and landscape views, interpretive and wayfinding signage, local artworks, park furniture and native plantings, including the addition of 5,800 new plantings. The Nimbin Rainbow Walk provides an experience of natural beauty, with plenty of shade for all to enjoy.
How long is the Rainbow Walk?
The Nimbin Rainbow Walk is a short 750 metre walk connecting Nimbin Village to the recreation precinct and Aquarius Park via Alternative Way.
The pathway features works by local artists, including story telling interpretive signage, and local bird profiles by Ross Wallace.
A bike rack has been installed at the entrance alongside Nimbin Pool, with new toilets and carparking facilities.
Accessibility
The Rainbow Walk is designed to be accessible to people of all ages and abilities for the majority of the track, including all of the artworks and major assets, making it easy for locals and visitors to enjoy.
