The Nimbin Village web app is made locally in Nimbin, and collects local news and knowledge for the community and visitors to the village.
This is how locals set up a village profile:
1. Register a free account
Use your email address to register for your free member account. After registering, check your email inbox to verify your email address.
2. Update My Profile
Select “My Profile” to view and update your User Profile. On the My Profile page, you can write yourself a bio, add a profile photo, and an optional link to your website or Facebook.
Also from the “My Profile” page, you can also create a new Village Profile. Village Profiles are additional pages that you can create to represent your business or group in Nimbin Village.
3. Create a Village Profile
From the “My Profile” page, select the “Create New” button to create a new Village Profile.
Give your profile a name, and select which category your profile belongs to.
On the next page, you are now viewing your draft profile, that needs a cover photo, a description, and perhaps some contact details – if appropriate for your profile.
Once you are happy to go live, select the Publish button, and now you have a Nimbin Village Profile!
4. Next Steps
Now you can link your Village Profile to any listing or post you add to Nimbin Village. Your noticeboard posts, events and marketplace listing can all be linked to your Village Profile.
Here’s how to link a post to your Village Profile:
From your “My Profile” page, select the “Create New” button to create a noticeboard post, calendar event, or marketplace listing.
While adding content to your post, select the category name next to your profile link, and then select which Village Profile you want to link.
Now your post is linked! All linked posts will now appear on your Village Profile page!
